The Hard Charger Tactical mounting option utilizes the third slot allowing mounting of a Back Up Sight to the rear, leaving the front of the Upper Receiver rail space available for Optics.  This option is designed for a more "tactical' type of optic set up.

All variants of the Hard Charger (ie: HC, HCT, and HCR) Side Charging Handle System are compatible with any Standard, Forged, Flat top AR-15/M-16 type rifle platform.
