MFI finally have figured out a way to make this so that it does NOT rotate or be pulled out other than in the rearmost position.

Unfortunately the MFI GSG MP40 Cocking / Charging Handle has to be made very close to the original in 5 pieces in order to keep true to the original shape and make it so that it does not rotate in the receiver slot. This just makes it more expensive than I would like it to be. But it is way cool and it does work flawlessly.

PLEASE NOTE: Like the original cocking handle the MFI replacement will likely scratch or mar the finish on your MP40 near the slot for the handle.

As you likely know the reproductions for the Original WWII guns cost well over $225.00.

The Original GSG MP40 Problem:

The cocking handle that comes with your GSG MP40 can be removed at any point in the receiver slot and sometimes is known to just fly out during normal operation of firing the weapon. Obviously this is NOT good.

Additionally it is the wrong shape for the MP40 and is more like a British Sten Gun cocking handle.

The New MFI MP40 Period Correct Cocking Handle is a direct copy of the original from WWII in it's construction and external appearance.

MFI MP40 Cocking Handle cannot be removed or installed unless the bolt is at the very rear of the receiver slot in the up “Safe” or locked back possession. So it can NOT fall out during firing.

Installation REQUIRES the firearm to be disassembled (removing the upper from the lower) as the spring tension is too great to do otherwise.

Design and Construction at basically identical to the original in order to stay true to the original WWII look and feel. The originals are 4 pieces as they have to slide on detents to allow the handle to slide in and out of the forward most notch in the receiver slot that locks the bolt in the forward closed position for parachute jumps in vehicle use. This sliding on detents is not needed for the GSG as the slot does not go as far forward as the WWII Original and there is not notch for it to lock in. Thus the MFI GSG MP 40 cocking handle does not have any detents, but we have simulated all the detent holes to be an exact cosmetic copy of the original.

This item is Plug and Play for the GSG MP40 in 9mm ONLY. It will NOT fit in the GSG MP40 .22 LR or an original MP40 from WWII.
