"We recommend the use of red loctite to secure your comp on your barrel. Compensator is made out of aluminum with either a black anodized finish or a silver brushed aluminum finish. This compensator is not recommended for Glock 19 models. We recommend the 4 port for 9MM Major loads but this comp will work with +P factory or handload equivalent loads, too. Factory target loads such as 115 grain is not recommended for use with this compensator. The muzzle flip reduction is amazing."

  When using our 4 Port Compensator on a GEN 1, 2 or 3 model, you will need to use a lighter recoil spring when using factory ammunition. We recommend the following:
  
  
• If using +P factory loads, we recommend using a 10-11 lb spring for 9MM Comps (G17 Test Gun)
• If using Major loads, we recommend using
  a 14-15 lb spring for 9MM Comps (G17 Test Gun)
  
  (i)These are test springs recommended. Your loads and configuration may require a different weight recoil spring. Test your loads for the best recoil spring.(/i

All compensators require the use of a Gen 3 Guiderod with a reduced power spring.  Factory guiderods will not allow your gun to function when using a compensator.  All Gen 4 models require a Gen 4 bushing or equivalent to be used with the Gen 3 guiderod and reduced power recoil spring.


Please note: 4 Port Compensators for use with 9MM are intended for "heavy" or "major" 9MM ammunition. Though they will work with some+P factory ammunition. Not all factory ammunition will allow for reliable functioning with this comp. A 3 Port Comp is recommended for light factory ammunition.
