The new design also improves ignition of harder military primers.

The Bolt Lugs are properly chamfered allowing smoother locking & unlocking.

A tighter ejector hole interface greatly reduces “swipe” from case head flow into the ejector hole.

All of the features are required for higher pressure 6.5mm Rifles & recommended for all DPMS .308 Gen 1 Rifle designs.
